Just starting to look at Silverlight? Finally all the marketing is getting through and you've decided it's something you should spend a little time in? I thought I would give a little bit of exposure and context surrounding the Silverlight Quickstarts.

There are 3 QuickStarts offered:

• Silverlight 1.0 RC QuickStart – this covers developing Silverlight applications with JavaScript
• Silverlight 1.1 Alpha QuickStart – this covers developing Silverlight applications in a .NET framework language (the C# or VB familiar language buttons are present on all of these demos.
• Silverlight QuickStart Using Expression Blend – this covers developing Silverlight applications using Expression Blend.

All of these QuickStart demoes are in Silverlight themselves, so you can interact with them while having a session of VS2005 or VS2008 open while going through the steps. These are probably a pretty good way to start off investigating Silverlight and how to build applications off the bat.
